There is fluid rated for colder temps than -20,switch to that and if needed they do sell windshield washer fluid heaters for really cold temps.
If all is good but the washer sprayers like to freeze, and if they are mounted on the hood, wire an 1157 bulb under the hood at each sprayer, the heat from each bulb should keep them unfrozen.

SOURCE: Water won't spray to clean windshield.

Best solution is compressed air blown through the backside of the nozzles. If you do not have access to that, use push pins to clean the holes from the outside

Be aware the Y fitting in the hose mounted right at the base of the hood is common to break from age, also causing no spray.

SOURCE: How do you remove the windshield sprayer nozzle on

Hello. The tiny hoses will come apart with nothing but a blow dryer to heat them up a bit and relax them. Once apart you will have to run a fine copper wire through them to remove the rain-X. However, before you take anything apart begin by using a blow dryer to warm up the sprayer head and when it is quite hot see if you can spray the wiper fluid right through it. Regards, Joe

SOURCE: I think my van has a clogged windshield nozzle.

First try to clean out the squirter nozzles.Take a very small wire, sometimes a staple works great, and stick it into the nozzle to clear any debris. Then try to spray it again. If this didn't solve the problem and the debris is cleared, then you either have a weak or blocked pump, which is located on the washer reservoir itself.Hope I could help!!! Rate me accordingly!! Thanks!

Testimonial: "Great info. I made it through step one and no fix. Being a female car moron, I'll have to research how to locate the pump. Many thanks for your help"

Remove rear dooor panels. take inside plastic loose at the bottom and half way up the door.take and tuck in the bottom of door...this does take in account the plastic is still on the door. Now take another piace of plastic and seal it against the door frame . Then reinstall door panel.

When the temperature gets below freezing and you use a bargain windshield washer fluid or plain water, it freezes and won't work. I normally drain every drop, not just add to what's already in there, and refill with Prestone yellow windshied washer fluid that has a lower freezing point.etort

I FILLED MY WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID TANK, BUT WHEN I TRY TO USE IT THE WIPER BLADES TURN ON BUT NO LIQUID SPRAYS ON TO THE WINDSHIELD

you could have a bad washer pump in the washer reservoir. Can you hear the pump run when you turn on the washers? It should hum pretty loud.

If yes, you could have frozen solvent in the ends of the nozzles. Are you in a very cold area?

If yes, use Prestone yellow washer solvent, it doen't freeze like the cheap blue stuff.

Where the hose connects to the reservoir that is the location of the pump. You will have to remove the washer fluid resivoir in order to replace the pump. Remove the hose and blow through it to make sure the orifice is not just clogged with wax.

Window washers dont work

Cold temps can cause freezing, pour warm water on the nozzle and hoses. Next, some blue washer fluid can clog the nozzles, use a pin to clear them but be careful as you may break the point off. lastly the spray motor my be bad, would have to replace it. Check with AutoZone or O'Reiley....

The washer fluid in frozen in the tank - 2008 cobalt lt

Most times you can mostly thaw it out with a hair-dryer. There are available washer fluids that will not freeze as easily.Once thawed, you can siphon out what is in there and save it for summer. One thing to remember though is that temps at the windshield especially on very cold days can be far cooler than ambient temps when in motion and can freeze even the best fluids either in the lines or on the glass.

Windshield fluid dispenser doesn't work properly. Can hear motor running but nothing squirts out the two holes on the car onto the windshield

what i would do is open the hood and on the hood itself there is hoses that run along the hood that you will see hooks up to the squiters they might be clogged up or cracked try that
