There is a place for the key to open the trunk on the right rear side of the car in between the letters of XKR emblem.

Just hook a charger to battery, to get enough of volts to open trunk. positive to positive post ( red one ) negative to negative post ( black one ).

Dead battery located in trunk,remote won't open trunk,how to manually open trunk
I am not a Jaguar guy, but usually when the battery is in the trunk, there is a connection under the hood where you can attach jumper cables. Power the car from there with a donor battery to make the trunk release work.
Failing that, try one of those trickle chargers that works through the lighter outlet in the car.

If you can get the hood open, then look for the alternator and use the heavy gauge single wire. Put the (+) of the charger on it and the (-) on a good ground.

Xk jaguar 2007 battery disconnected, boot closed, windows open, and manuel key missing, how would you open the boot
been there done that. i connected a set of wires to the battery on another car pulled the center rear seat cover off to expose the fuse panel, poped out a fuse and connected the hot from the other battery to the fuse and the ground from the other car to a grounding bolt right beside and bingo you have power and can pop the trunk.

Can not open trunk, Jaguar s-type
Look under the "U" in "Jaguar" on the chrome strip on the trunk. You'll find a key slot where you can insert your ignition key. You may have to remove the license tag frame (if you have one) to get the key into the slot.

Hi,
  • Check the battery status. it might be dead or the terminals are corroded or loose.
  • Also try to check on your earth line. the terminal lead from the battery to body may be cut or corroeded.
  • Check on the main fuse, it may blow burnt relay.
