When slowing down, everything is fine, until its almost time to fully stop, then the car acts like it is going to die. if I put the car in nuetral, then stop, its fine, it only does this in drive and at a very slow speed.

Are there codes in the transmission computer? Likely the torque converter clutch is not disengaging or a holding member with the transmission could not be releasing. this could be caused by a faulty shift solenoid or a mechanical failure with the transmission. Check to ensure the transmission shift properly under all conditions. Also, stall test the torque converter, put it in gear hold the brakes firm and throttle the engine. Generally the torque converter will stall out around or above 2,000 rpm. If it stalls out much lower, check the torque converter clutch solenoid for proper operation.

Again, check the transmission computer for codes. You will need an advanced OBD1 scan tool which can communicate like a hikock scan tool ( ford factory for that era)

it appears you have electronic throttle control. any applicable trouble codes, relating to that system? clean the throttle bore and around throttle plate, don't force the throttle plate. your idle air is electronically controlled.

Car dies when going over really bumpy roads

If the brake pedal goes hard right BEFORE the car dies, and not after, then you could have a problem INSIDE the brake power booster. try to verify this next time it dies at a stop, if you can safely pull the dead car off the road into a driveway (or try to make it stall in a bumpy parking lot) - then before you try to restart the car, open the hood, pull off the rubber hose where it's plugged into the brake power booster --> you SHOULD hear a big "Swoosh" of air being sucked into the booster because there's supposed to be a strong vacuum there even after the car stops running. if you get nothing there, your car is dying of an excessive vacuum leak through the brake booster.= bad booster.

Car stalls at a stop from speed. when coming to a stop it will just die. Restarts just fine. When slowing or stoping

I had similar problem. My car died at every red light, unless I shifted to nuetral and reved it. Check oxygen sensor, it solved my problem.
