You would have to jack up the front end and the o2 sensor is onthe exhaust manifold on the passenger side . Just take the right size wrech and losen the sensor and replace it.

Error code P1131 & P1151

Hope this helps you or future parties of intrest. P1131 Lack of Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor Switch - Sensor Indicates Lean - Bank No. 1 P1151 Lack of Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor Switch - Sensor Indicates Lean - Bank No. 2 I would get under your stang and gently clean outside portion of o2 sensors using a scotch brite. Also if you have so dielectric grease pull electrical connections to o2 sensors clean them and add grease. These trick eliminated the o2 sensor OBD1 codes on my 1987 Ford mustang gt

My 2002 ford e-150 is pulling p1131 code and p1151 code what is the problem

Lack of upstream heated O2 sensor bank 1 & bank 2. I would first check for broken or corroded wires to both upstream O2 sensors. If no apparent bad wires O2 sensors are bad.

Obd code P1131

this problem code is p1131, manufacturer control fuel air metering. this means the o2 sensor on bank one is bad. bank 1 is the same bank #1 cylinder is at. so this means 02 sensor in front of convertor is bad.

2002 Ford Windstar Error Code P1131 And P1151

those two codes are for the o2 sensors. both are the upstream sensors on the front and rear banks. so they are desinagted bank 1 sensor 1 and bank 2 sensor 1. them most common cause for this is faulty o2sensors , bad gas and of a poor running engine. so if your car runs good (no misfire) and gas is ok then replace the o2sensor witch is the very most common cause.

Hi, Ineed asist, my car have two codes PO135 and PO1131 my car is ford ranger 1998 thanks for help mi

the code P0135 is for high resistance or short in wiring harness or oxygen sensor bank 1, bank 1 is the bank with cylinder number 1, check the harness wiring to the O2 sensor if all is ok you should replace the O2 sensor, the P1131(bank 1 lean) code is more than likely a resulting code from the P0135. Let me know if this helps

What is a p1131 code and how do i fix it

P1131, Lack of Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor Switch - Sensor Indicates Lean - Bank No. 1 ...

MOST LIKELY THE UPSTREAM (BEFORE THE CATALYTIC CONVERTOR) O2 SENSOR IN BANK ONE IS DEFECTIVE, ALSO CHECK FOR ANY ENGINE VACUUM LEAKS, A CAN OF CARB SPRAY HELPS TO SHOW IF ANY LEAKS ARE PRESENT, THE IDLE RPM WILL INCREASE WHEN THE CARB SPRAY HITS A LEAK, IF NO LEAKS FOUND REPLACE THE BANK ONE O2 SENSOR.
