Just got a ford ka as the ford ka got cental locking

don't hold on together.. change channel and hold it on on any number..
u can also find reset option or a reverse arrow mark which is same thing as reset.

what year is your ka? if its the later model it has electric power steering. the warning light means a fault in the system or it needs to be recalibrated ie. if the battery has been disconneted or gone flat. try with engine running turn steering wheel from full lock to full lock both ways a couple of times if that dont work there is poss a fault in the system and needs to go to a dealer for safety reasons good luck

The small clips break on these Ford Ka roller glove boxes and the are only available from ford .
The old one can be taken out with a pliers.
The new part will simply slot into the small rectangulay hole and just clicks into place to fit.
Sometimes the get dislodged and stay attached to the small locking point on the lid.

It could be your onboard computer or locking module, as the guy next door had an identical problem on his Megane. A tech came and changed a module then programmed the 'brains'.

if this is the problem i think it is then the only anser is to fit a new lock mechanism on the drivers door ,once it goes wrong then the whole lot stops working ,its all controlled from the drivers door lock .

Relay was probably burnt out when battery went. Refer to manual for the relay location

CUT BACK THE COVERING ON THE BROKEN RELEASE HANDLE CABLE TO EXPOSE THE INNER CABLE WIRE CORE AND WITH A PAIR OF LOCKING PLIERS LIKE VISE GRIPS PULL ON THAT CABLE WIRE CORE WHILE SOMEONE PUSHES DOWN ON THE HOOD/BONNET OVER THE AREA WHERE THE HOOD LATCH IS LOCATED TO RELEASE THE SPRING TENSION ON THE LATCH

is central locking not working with remote & did you try using key to see if central locking is working at all if working with then its a good chance that key fob is faulty if its not then first need to check fuses & for radio is it going on when switched on display will say code---- if it does then it req code if not then again possibilty a fuse might be on same circuit as your central locking fuse
