Navigation system is under the right front seat.

Is the light burned out? You will need the service or owners manual to help in replacing it.
The light is there as a reminder to not put a small infant in the front seat who could e seriously or fatally injured in a crash by being there.

if you plan to carry some cargo on the passenger seat, you just have to put up with the light. You can put some black tape over it if it bothers you temporarily.

there should be 4 nuts screwed onto fixed bolts.remove the 4 nuts and unplug the electrical connectors then remove the seats

Here's an excerpt from the 2002 Acura MDX 4WD 6cyl Repair guide for replacing what the reference manual calls the "control assembly" - its located under the console rear trim and may (or may not)
contain the blower resistor - my manual doesn't say - but this is the closest thing I could find for you. Every other blower resistor I've had to find was located close to the heater controls - and this
car seems to be no exception -- its heater controls are located in the console between the seats, rather than in the dash (as in Acura 2003-06 MDX models).

You may want to call your friendly Acura dealership ad speak to the parts department, to make sure where the blower resistor is located - or a visit to a dealership parts counter often (or
Advance Auto Parts is helpful too) ofen clarifies questions I have from Haynes manuals (the cheapest car repair guides).

All this assumes that you've correctly diagnosed your blower control problem -- as in "replace the blower resistor when the blower works only on the MAX/Highest setting."

Control Assembly Removal & Installation

2001-02 Models

1. Remove the console rear trim. Refer to the accompanying illustration.

2. Remove the self-tapping screws and the rear heater-A/C control unit (A) from the console rear trim (B).

To install:

1. Install the control unit in the reverse order of removal. After installation, operate the control unit controls to see whether it works properly.
2. Run the self-diagnosis function to confirm that there are no problems in the system.

is the door open??? if so, we need to know if it is or not. I know on a Honda Odyssey, its under passenger seat.

re-upolstery can be expensive and requires removing seat[s] a good quality set of seat covers could be had for app.$100. or less

Sounds like a bad install and the wiring might be crossed. But as they stated, without schematics, it's hard to know which wire is which. Acura should cooperated if the Honda dealer is authorized. Mention "small claims court" and see how fast they cooperate. BTW, the MDX and Pilot share alot of the schematics. i don't know why Honda can't play with it. I believe they don't want the liability.

YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE SEAT OUT AND REMOVE THE SEAT COVERS TO REPLACE ELEMENT YOU HAVE TO CUT HOG RINGS OFF AND USE NEW ONES TO REINSTALL SEAT COVERS

its really easey to remove the dvd unit under the pasenger seat. just put the seat all the way forward and pull the plastic guard from the seat track (pull straight back) then unplug the harness connectors in the back of the unit.
Then put the seat all the way back and remove the 1o mm nuts on the side brackets of the unit and pull it forward.
