Sounds like a wheel bearing in your right front. apparently, there are different types of bearing setups for this vehicle, depending on wheter it's 2 or 4 wheel drive. when you are turning, you unload the faulty bearing partially, and the noise quiets down. bet it gets noisier when you turn the other way. the noise probably also changes pitch with vehicle speed. get it checked, as this can cause more serious damage, and left alone for too long can allow the wheel to come off completely!

My Dodge Grand Caravan is making a humming noise as you accelerate, while turning left it stops but gets worse while turning right. I replaced the left front wheel hub and no improvement, I need help

if hub bearing replacement did not fix the noise

when noises are on left and right turns
that has CV joints /drive shafts
would say they are the issue
replace both sides

and replace the left hand hub bearing at the same time

Why does my car make a loud humming noise?

The buzzing noise is air in the power steering line. The reason it is only one n one side is cause when you turn the wheel it causes more pressure to build. Take the cap off the reservoir and turn the wheel back and forth all the way hold for a second on each side until the buzzing noise goes away. If that don't work then check your rack and pinion system to make sure you don't have leakage or damage from road debris.

I have a 2011 Nissan Sentra. It has developed a loud hum and vibration to the steering wheel from the front end .it has 180,000km. Any ideas?

How are the tires? New? Old? Rotate them and see if noise goes away. Possibly front wheel bearing in the front drive axle where it goes thru the hub and rotor.......goes the noise get worse if you turn right or left slightly when driving it? If it gets worse on one side that is the side with the bad bearing.....replace as needed.

Loud humming noise on front end when you turn the wheel to the left a little is goes away

If you have had your divers side wheel bearing replaced, you may want to have the drive axle looked at also. You possibly could have a CV joint going out. As far as driving it, I wouldn't want to take it too far out of town. It's good to ave a good and HONEST mechanic look at it for you. Please do me a favor. DO NOT take it to the dealership because the DO have a tendency to rip you off!!! I hope this helps you out.

There is a humming sound coming from the front end of my 1999 oldmobile alero. Only happens when the car is moving. I dont hear itat idle or even when pushing the gas at idle. could it be my transmission...

Hello! If the humming noise is speed related(gets louder as vehicle speed increases)check front wheel bearings. If the noise goes away when turning one way or the other then it will most likely be in the front wheel bearing. If you turn the wheel(while moving)to the right and the noise goes away it is on the right side. If you turn the wheel to the left and the noise goes away its on the left side. Hope this information helps!
