Had transmission rebulit now the transmission light is on and we put a new computer and coilpack in it and it didnt fix it. it shifts really hard, nobody seems to know what to do fix it. any suggestions?

Check the color of the transmission fluid, dark colored is bad. Overheating could cause the transmission fluid to go bad. Most transmission fluids are red and semi transparent. If the fluid is bad change the fluid, this can fix hard shifts and shudder.
Well since you don't know the trucks history is it possible that the transmission has a shift kit? Is it just banging into the next gear? Try changing the transmission fluid & filter maybe put some Lucas transmission additive in it too. I've had a lot of those old chevy's in the past 12 years. Some shift hard with no damage. I just drove me like that. Like you said it's an ol farm truck with 176k on it. Not a money pit.
well if the check engine light didnt come on that mean theres no electric probelms --check all u- joints , if ****** doesnt shift hard or no whinning sound when u use clutch try that first, only thing let is torque convertor
It will take off from a stop in overdrive but as soon as it shifts into 3rd at about 30 miles per hour it jumps into neutral? If yes, you have a burnt 3/4 clutch. The transmission will need rebulit. Cost of about 1600 dollars.
the problem with the tranny is internal damage to the clutch apply packs and servo's with over 40 years in transmission rebuilding this is a common problem with that particular transmission in essence theres no! quick fix ! nor minor repair you can do for it it just needs to be rebulit
You need more information. I would start looking for a vacuum leak, especially if the mass air flow sensor is still not giving the desired readings. The O2 sensors will likely also be off.
