Possibly if they messed with the control on the steering column. If your lights are controlled from the same wand as the cruise, I would check the connection there.
Hello dogjasper. Both of these issues will be caused by a part under the steering wheel called a "clockspring". This part allows the transfer of electrical energy through a plastic spring with wire leads impregnated into it. The plastic over time will crack and the wire along with it. The clockspring carries current for both the air bag and your cruise control. The steering wheel will need to be removed to access this part to be replaced.
Your manual should tell you that. Also check your brake light switch by the brake pedal. It also disengages the cruise. If it is bad the cruise will not work but the brake lights may still work.
Does Ford replaced the cruise control deactivation switch.
