It might be a door/ windor seal or it could be a heating component leaking. im sure that the heater core is on the passenger side but when they begin to leak they cause a localized leak much like your description.

Driver Side Leaking

I had a problem like this before. Carpet was soaked after the winter. There is a few spots to check out here. Your window seals could be dried out and allowing water to creep past them. You may have a rubber grommet missing from your fire wall or under the vehicle. Mine was a rubber plug right under the feet area of the floor board and was missing. If your car is relatively new, I would make sure your car door and window seals completely when it is closed. Check it out next time at the car wash. If everything is dry, hose it down real good so it will cause the leak to appear. Follow the leak to the source or where it begins to get wet first. That will reveal your problem.

All warning lights come on in a 2005 sunfire

ther will probably be a wire loom connector under the carpet under your feet and if the water has been getting to it I would saf that it will be correded and rusted . Check the wiring from front to back and check all connections for rust and rot

Water leak on drivers side in my 1999 Honda Civic DX Coupe

Go to the passenger side or driver side there you need to find the A/C drain tube make sure that it is draining outside and not in the compartment area. This drain hose tends to pop out, so when you have the A.C on you notice there is water draining out but in your case its going in thhe car.

Floor behind driver seat is wet.

For sure there's a leak somewhere.
check if there's no damage or defects in the door rubbers, check if you can find another wet areas to help you find the leak.
There's a few holes in the floor covered with plastic caps, check if there some missing and if they're not damaged.

Vw polo drivers side floor wet, front and back?

Do you smell a sweet odor? like from the coolant in your radiator?
Your heater core may be leaking coolant into the car.
Or your front window or door seals may be leaking.

There is a water leak somewhere in my 98 toyota camry that leaks into my passenger side floor. There is no sun roof and no visible leaks from the windows or doors. Any thoughts? A/C leak maybe? water...

I am the original owner of camry xle 1998 with wet floors. In 2000 I had drivers side door seal leaking at welt. Removed old door seal and new weather strip on drivers side installed. The door panel was never wet, but wet at bottom of door where there are drain holes...slowly leaking under carpet.
In 2001 later water again. Coming from overflowing A/C evaporator-drain plugged/ tank full of debris. Removed evaporator, cleaned + drain cleaned.
In 2003, driver door seal against window rotted. Removed door panel and found leak at window belt molding at the mirror joint inside + out. Lots of mold under carpet needed to replace! Made a fuss at dealers for reacurring problem and they replaced the carpet for free.
