My 2004 rodeo ac/heater fan is not working. once in a while it will. i need to know where to search for my fan and/or connections. Plus in summer my condensation leaks in the passenger side of truck. Need help, please. Charlie

Charlie, 1st thing is to check your fuses. I will post some links to help you see and solve problem. May not be your exact model but steps are basically the same.

I am assuming you checked the fuses for the ac /heater first as you mnever said anything about that.. the resistor block and switch removal can be printed out either by the parts store or dealer service..
just unplug the fan motor and connect a tester with a light bulb to it turn the fan control on and watch for the light to get brighter as the speed goes up, if it does replace the fan motor . if not check fuses and power to the switch itself.good luck
if the lower fan speeds dont work but the fastest speed does the heater fan resistor block needs replacing. If the highest fan speed doesnt work leave it on there and check for power at heater blower fan, if power is on one wire and the other is an earth the blower motor fan needs replacing. Use a normal globe test light to check this. If no power on any wires to fan go back and check all fuses in car and under bonnet with same test light. If fuses are ok possible open circuit wire to fan.
It may be the heater fan motor or connection to it . I have replaced a lot of these that required a new connector to make then work....as the original connector semi melted at the fan motor.
The resistors are in circuit only on the lower fan speed settings.
On the highest speed setting, power is switched directly to the fan motor.
Check fan power supply fuses,
Check power is available to the fan when high speed selected.
If all above OK, apply power directly to the motor to verify fan motor runs- if it doesn't the motor may need replacement/repair.
You need to buy a repair manual first. You must have the feon removed, because you must disconnect the AC lines from the evaporator, It took me about 4 hours. The screws are under the dash at each end plus in the middle there is a support brace bracket.
I had a similar problem with AC & Heater fan,it works on and off, and sometimes if the road was rough it runs, So I had to remove the fan clean it with a blower from dust and debris, then I installed it back and it is running ever since for more than a year without having to replace it.
