The thermostat rests in a cavity in the intake manifold, which is bolted to the top of the engine. It is held in place by the thermostat water outlet elbow, which bolts to the intake manifold with 2 bolts.
Hi, really not sure what you are trying to say ,you have the thermostat housing,thermostat then gasket, or o'ring, then the intake. if this don't help you please send me more info like engine size were i can look it up to get a full view of your motor. thanks dodge tec
P.S I looked in my parts book that is a whole assy thermostat and housing and gasket is all one part
If you are talking about the part that the thermostat drops into (at the engine side of the top radiator hose) and also holds the carburetor - it is the intake manifold.
