The car is programmed by the computer to have the fan run to bring down the temp.. You would be surprised to hear a lot of cars do this, even after the car is turned off. If the fan runs over 20 minutes after the car is off, call your dealership and talk to the service department. You are doing more harm than good pulling the fuse. If its a major problem the service people will tell you what you need to know. Most Toyota, Mazda, and Nissians also do this. Its a safety measure to lower the temp. in the radiator even after the car is not running. If still having problems, let me know

Garage replaced radiator on Citroen C4 06 Diesel FOC as accidentally damaged it when fixing starter motor, car now starts and then stalls only way to keep it running is with Primer.

A couple of possibilities. Since they probably disconnected the battery to replace the starter, they may have left a feed wire to the fuel pump circuit disconnected when putting it back together They may have accidentally grounded a circuit and blown a different fuse. You need to check fuel pump pressure to see if the pump is putting out enough pressure. The pump just may have just wore out and cannot feed the injectors. Air may have entered the fuel system and needs to be bled out.

Hi.2005 Audi a3 stereo fault.stereo goes to to safe mode every time i turn engine off any ideas?

You have either lost the "keep alive memory" 12 volt power feed to the radio that is always hot even with the key is turned off or you have a defective radio.

Radiator fan continues to run. Fan won't shut off when engine is turned off.

Its supposed to keep running even with the car turned off if the car is still to warm, they work off a sensor,, now if it keeps running way to long,, the sensor is bad,, ( if you have to pull the fuse to make it quit after a while,, then check the relay , and then the sensor )

How can i tell if i have a blown gasket i cant really tell where water is leaking from but i can kins see it running out what looks like a pan or somthing under like the water pump area under cranshaft and...

Hi, If you see white smoke coming from tail pipe then you will know it is leaking through engine.
I would suggest after you replace head gasket, that you put new radiator fluid (50/50) mix and a new thermostat in. The fluid will keep it from boiling over. Good luck.

I have a 2004 Pontiac Sunfire. When the car is in idle the air blows out hot and the Temperature gage rises and the car over heats. When the car is moving the air blows out ice cold and the temperature...

Sounds like your cooling fans on the radiator are not working. The fans are activated by a thermol switch on the engine or radiator reading the coolant temperature and an A/C switch. When the coolant is too hot the fans should activate cooling the system down. And, when the A/C is on the fans should also activate in order to cool the condensate so the A/C would work.

When you are driving, the movement of the vehicle throught he air is providing enough air flow to keep things cool and functional.

I would check the radiator fan fuse or fuses first. If those are OK I would try to run the fans with 12 volts and a ground that I supply just to see if the fan motor(s) actually run when powered. If the fan don't run when powered then the fans are bad and will need to be replaced. If the fans do run when you power them manually, then something is not allowing the power to activate, like a relay, control unit, or wiring.

It will take a little diagnostics, but it is not too difficult to chase it down.

If other techs have looked at it ,the common things have been checked. What sometimes is over looked is the space between the radiator and the A/C condensor. Debri gets stuck to the radiator and is hard to see . If you loosen the radiator mounts you can see between the two.If it is very dirty it might be necessary to remove the radiator to pressure wash it.

The fan on my Toyota Corolla is not running. I just changed the radiator and refilled the coolant. Shouldn't it run immediately I switch on? How can I tell if the fuse has blown?

What has the radiator got to do with the fan coming on? There may be a bad fan switch, screwed into the radiator, but you wouldn't change the radiator, only the sw ,if bad. You could jump the fan sw wires, turn key on, to test for a bad sw and a working fan
