Wont start did tune up because of sputtering and power loss. ran fine for a day then it died. getting fuel but wont start

if its only since you changed fuel filter it may be not sealing properly and getting air in ,,,, sounds like a missfire though

Did you do any tune-up?wires? coils?

It's quite possible to ruin a fuel pump by letting it run dry, especially if it already has years of use. When you first turn on the key, leave the door open and see if you can hear a high pitched whine for about three seconds. That would be the pump priming the system. If you don't hear it, then the pump isn't working. Be sure to turn the key of for about 10 seconds before you try listenng again(it has to reset). It can be hard to hear, especially over the key buzzer.

Does the fuel line still have 55 PSI when engine warmed up? Any other codes show up?

Have the fuel pump checked it may be weak.

Might be fuel pump, or filter is pluged up, best to chg. filter and then do a fuel pressure test.

if you have an electric fuel pump that would explain the hum. unhook your incoming fuel line and blow the line clear, sounds like you've got some junk in your tank.it'll build up on the screen in the tank then fall off (at least partially) when your making turns or hitting bumps or holes. next time it's only got a gallon or so of fuel i'd drop the tank and check the pickup tube inside. sux but that's the only way to get to it. while you've got the tank off and out from under the jeep, might as well clean it out real good and replace anything inside (usually the screen) that doesn't look right, dirty etc. wouldn't hurt to run a bottle of fuel system cleaner in the next full tank of fuel either. preferably as soon as you put your tank back. good luck

is the engine light on, check for codes.
i would then test for fuel pressure at the rail.
replace fuel filter,
check for spark at plug.
dirty air filter.
i could go on...
