Just recently my licence plate light and exterior trunk lights stopped working. I thought it was simply two burnt out licence plate lights when I discovered the rest didn't work either. I found all this out by being pulled over yesterday. The reverse lights work just fine...whats the problem?

No access through trunk. If anyone knows this would be great.

loose ground wier to bulb holders or look inside of em sometimes they get cacked up with junk n just clean em but MOST LIKELY its a loose wire or blown fuse!!!

can you rich from trunk,maybe has clips.

The entire licence plate and tail light assembly needs to be removed, then access to the bulbs is easy.

1. Pop the plastic snaps that hold the carpet to the trunk lid in order to see the studs that hold the assembly to the trunk lid.
2. Use a 10mm deep socket to remove the 7 nuts (leave the ones that hold the lock assembly alone)
3. Wiggle the assembly free from the trunk lid, being careful not to damage the wires it will be dangling from.
4. Replace the bulbs (if only one is burnt out, replace the pair while you've got it apart, using long-life bulbs)
5. Put it back together (if the outside edge studs had plastic tips on them, put them back and press the plastic snaps back in to hold the carpet up.

Licence plate light is burnt out. Have new blubs to install.

It is much better to remove the trim from the inside of the trunk lid. It is quite easy and you will eliminate the possibility of scratching the paint on the exterior or breaking one of the lamp housings. With the trim off, you don't actually need to remove the lens. You can simply reach in, twist the bulb and remove. I've never had one of the lenses out (although I have replaced my licence plate bulbs) so I'm not sure if the ability to remove them from the outside is accurate or not. If the locking mechanism fails or no power is available, it is possible to open the boot using a long thin screwdriver through the lower right licence plate mounting hole.

Follow the linkage rod from the lock mechanism itself going left, towards the centre, to where it joins the catch mechanism and push here. It can help to shine a light through the left side licence plate hole, and also to get a second screwdriver in here to take a little of the tension off the catch itself, though not too much or it will spring back into place.

try looking at the wiring from the light and fallow it back to the fuse, sounds like a short in the wires if not change you fuse, you can find it by looking in your owners manual,
