The battery is placed on the bottom right side of the plenum chamber for 2001 Audi A6. See picture below:

Hi, I changed the battery of my Audi A6 2001 4.2L Quattro and now the CD player won't came on, I have tried to follow of the reseting steps but not even the SAFE MODE message will appear on the screen, it is completly dead. Any advice?

You should check either - www.audiforums.com www.audiworld.com or www.audizine.com, register and search the forums, should be good info. also check under the battery, man audi cars have secondary brackets underneath to hold the battey in place.
