Well, In order to find out why the engine light is on, you will first need to scan for codes and tell us what the codes are. These scan tools can be borrowed from most auto parts stores or you can get your own OBD2 code reader from Walmart/Amazon for $22.99. My guess is that it is related to part of the emission system.
You will need to go to either a specialist auto electrician or a Kia dealership to find out what the problem is as any P1*** code is specific to the manufacturer so could be anything. Dealership usually means dealership prices but they have the correct information for each Kia car.
Easy, find someone that has an OBD2 meter and get the error code # ( an example is Po256) Then plug the code number into google and it will tell you what is wrong.
You have to have a sensor on the engine component for the ck engine lite to come on. Leaking fluid will usually not have a sensor, so this is not the engine light problem.
P0171 - System too Lean (Bank 1)
P0174 - System too Lean (Bank 2)
P1451 - EVAP Control System Canister Vent Solenoid Circuit Malfunction
I'm afraid I don't have enough info to tell you how to fix the P1451 but I'm certain it's the cause of the other two codes.
