I went to leave my house this morning i put it in Reverse and it wouldn't move unless i gave it a lot of gas. Then the ABS light and the traction control light came on and stayed on and a message popped up saying service elec brake system. I do live in Southwestern Alberta and we just got a horrible snow storm this past weekend. I was just thinking the brakes a probably froze up.. could there be something else wrong with it? Its a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokke.. Thanks

Well great minds think alike and i want to know why you put the parking brake on in such severe weather when just leaving vehicle in park will do ,never use this brake if vehicle is left for any length of time also when so cold ,its automatic and has a park which locks the drive wheels .or if manual leave it in gear either first or reverse

Check for metallic contamination on the ABS sensors behind the hubs. Also, check to see if your parking brake is hanging up.

The stall in reverse is most likely unrelated to your problem, unless your alternator went bad, and your battery is discharged. Try charging/replacing your battery. A jump start may not work as Dodge trucks don't like to idle well with a weak battery. Then try starting again, if it runs check the voltage at the battery. You should have 13-14.5 volts, if not you have a dead alternator. If it still won't start, please post some more details.

My ABS light is on as well as my traction control light. Also my truck and gas button dosen't work and my inside linterior lights don't work

The taction light generally lights when you have an ABS fault. This is very rational because you don't want the traction control trying to kick in if the ABS is off line. Check your fuses first. If all good bring it to a qualified shop. DON'T mess with barkes unless you know whatyuo are doing

2001 Mercury Grand Marquis brake and ABS dash lights on and off

The red brake light is the key here. That usually indicateds a hydraulic problem. Check you fluid level in master cylinder and see if it is low. Also the level indicator sensor there in the master cylinder maybe sticking or corrioded. If ABS sees the red brake light it will shut off and turn on the ABS light, also traction control would be disabled as well.
