Car cranked for about 5 seconds then everything went dead. Battery is good, fuses on left side of the steering collum good. 1997 buick lesabre 3.8 L engine. Is there a fusable link somewhere? Could not find any fuses under the hood.

Under the left side of your back seat is a fuse / relay box . When you first turn the key on the fuel pump relay turns on for a few seconds to prime the fuel system . That relay is in that fuse / relay box ,that is what your hearing . The crank sensor should be on the passenger side of the engine. It probably won't be visible without first removing the power steering reservoir, and possibly other items on that side of the engine. It is located down below near the waterpump pulley.

These are actually the bulbs that have went bad. It would be quite expensive. I have a 2004 that has done the same thing. No lights behind any buttons any more except the ac heater controls I replaced last year.

The fuse box locations and there diagrams are in the owners manual. If you don't have one you can download one at the GM site for free. Here is the LINK

hi i jumbed started the car at the starter, the car would crank to start but the car would not run , but it will crank normal , but because the security light is flashing the car would not start, i tried to leave the ignition on for 10-15 minu but the light keep on flashing and the car still would not start , 1993 buick lesabre , now would it be the neutrul safty swich causing this, i tried to start in N but nothig happend , please give me a full answer
