Okay lets start with, are you getting fire?(a spark at the plugs). you can buy a spark tester at an auto parts store for under $20.00. just follow the instructions, most are simple to use. there are other ways to test for fire but they are unsafe. it involves an open spark and high voltage ( if you do have fire). you would remove a plug wire an attach it to a spark plug that you are sure that works then lay it on the engine where it will be grounded. on something metal. then have someone start the car and you look for a small spark at the end of the plug it should be intense blue.dont let this little spark fool you, if you touch this plug while its firing you will prob slam you head against the hood of the car and or **** your self just a little. if you have a fuel leak all jokes aside, that spark will be more then enough to ignite it in a blink of an eye. Have a 1991 bonneville le has to sit for a few hours before it will restart

You may need to check fuel pressure after the engine warms up and shuts off. Maybe the fuel pump gets hot and stops. Have you checked for spark after it dies?

Firing order for a 1991 GMC Sonoma 4.3 liter v-6 is 1-6-5-4-3-2.

The number one plug is the first one facing you on the right and the last plug to fire is the first one facing you on the left. The rotor button spins counter clockwise.

Hope this helps (remeber to rate and comment this answer).

I need the firing sequence on the 1994 GMC Sonoma from spark plugs to the distributor cap. My brother got the wires mixed up...he doesn't know where the wires go.

Here is the firing order diagrams for the 4.3 liter V-6 engine and the 2.2 liter 4 cylinder engine, and let me know if you need any help to understand these diagrams, or if you require any further assistance.

I have a 1991 Mustang GT, and it runs awhile but goes dead,I have replaced the fuel filter and that did not stop the problem. The car runs about 5 or 6 minutes but shut down and will not restart, but will...

test the fuel pressure first. use a guage and watch it till engine dies. also the guage has a bleed off hose, run a small amount of gas into a cup and check for water

2000 s10 Blazer dies very 3-6 weeks for no reason

i would check your ignition system. you would need a meter for this but look for broke or loose connections. if it was a fuel problem i dont think it would just start up after 20 minutes. or you might try your ignition switch. if its shorting or something then ya well it would cut your engine off real quick

1991 Mazda MX-6 starts and it dies within 30 seconds or less.

Check to see fi your fuel pump is functioning, also change the fuel filter. I had this same problem on a 1984 626. While i waited for the car to restart fuel would seep into the line to allow for the enging to startbe that was it.
