It is definately a fuel problem, if you press gently it speeds up step on it and it just bogs, i think it has sommething to do with the ecm that controls timing and fuel at the TBI (throttlebody injectors) not a filter, i put a new pump, tank, filter and cleaned out the fuel lines and still could not cure the problem, then i heard of a few thigs that got me thinkin but when i was gonna tackle it a guy said he wanted to buy it so i told him the issue he didnt care and i sold it. but those were the only things left to do.
This is a scam! $12.00 was a cheap lesson, but I'll post my displeasure with every available site I can. If you don't know just say it, don't play this pass the buck game. Typical anymore. Thanks for nothing-mitch kelley6.
Could be a number of things. I have a 93 GMC S15 and it has tbi fuel injection and the computer, a good idea is to get a code checker that plugs into the dash. Often will tell you what it thinks is wrong in electronic sensor system, flashes code on your dashboard, checker is about $24 at Kragen or AutoZone. Lot of people think fuel, it could be a misfiring cylinder or a really clogged air cleaner. If you have changed anything, like distributor timing, that might be first clue to follow. If also has fast idle could indicate vacuum leak which makes it run too lean (same effect) and have loss of power.
If it's been running good till now, I would first think that a vacuum hose has slipped off of s spigot somewhere, confirm everything with smog sensor hoses is connected using diagram sticker on fender well or such. Great truck, and ECM system is solid on mine.
i'm not sure of this input, who are you ( mitch-kelley6 ) directing this too. please explain within the guide lines,
hey thanx bc444, i got all wraped up i forgot all about a possible vacuum leak, like the saying goes ....TWO HEADS ARE BETTER THAN ONE..... i NEVER EXPECT A PERSON TO TAKE MY WORD FOR IT, CAUSE I DO MAKE MISTAKES.
