was the factory's stereo what you removed? if so it has set a security code. you can try resetting the security system. STEP ONE: turn key to start position and let it come back to run position. STEP TWO: let the key stay on in the run position until the security light stops flashing.STEP THREE: once the light quits flashing turn key off then repeat steps one and two again. note: it may take up to 30 minutes to complete the reset process, after third time the van should start if not you may have to take it to the dealer to have the BCM reprogrammed.
Good morning, I am having a problem starting my 2000 chevy venture. I believe its the security system acting up, can anyone tell me how to reset the vechile's security system?
check to make sure the security light is not on if it is the van will have spark but no injecter pulse the best way to solve this issue is to have the original igniton key and put it in the igniton in the run position and leave it on for 10 minutes then the light will flash then try to start the van
most any sensor going bad can cause the check engine light to come on,try disconnecting the posative battery cable for 15 seconds ,then put it back on,will reset the codes, or take it to auto zone, they will test your computer for codes at no charge to you.i had a venture van my was ox. sensor. thanks robert b.
