93 Chevy S10 Blazer 4wd W vin Vortec CPI. Turns over has fuel, and spark, wont start. New TPS, IAC, Knock sensor, wires, plugs, Cap and Rotor. It did this the other day so I manually checked the flash codes and got code 35. So I replaced the IAC and it started right up and ran fine. Went back out the next day started warmed it up and drove it a few miles then home again. went back out twenty min later to drive it now won't start again. Checked the Code again. Code 35 is back? (was gone after I replaced the IAC) the Iac is only 24hr old. I took it out and watched it move freely when the ignition was turned to on position. I don't think it's the IAC what else could it be? Thanks in advance.

There is no test for module in distributor, but they often cause this kind of problem. Also while in there, check the pickup coil wires to make sure they are intact.

Try using a good fuel line/injector cleaner Seafoam is a good one. If this does not help you may have tone or more clogged injectors. Clean these out and you should be good to go. tTo see Seafoam in action goto you tube type Seafoam into the search box.

1999 chevy blazer not starting

Check the plug wire from the ignition coil to the distributor cap.
If you haven't already, replace the distributor cap and rotor.
The GM Vortec's have issues with moisture getting inside the cap and rotor and causing problems.

I have a 95 chevy blazer with the 4.3 .i have tested and have spark entering the distributor but no spark leaving the distributor to plugs .have put new crank sensor ,cam pos sensor...

That is indeed odd. I would suspect problems with the hi tension cables if this was not part of the ones you changed since the flow of current ends at the distributor. Check also other cables such as the ground. It is puzzling that all plugs would not have any spark. I would also recommend a scanner used to check for error codes given out by the car's ECU.

TPS probably not cause surging idle. Could be IAC motor, could be MAF sensor. If you dont have a check engine light I would be thinking IAC motor.

The temperature sensor is where I would start. If the sensor tell the computer that the engine is cold it will initiate the warm up mode which includes advancing the timing along with a rich fuel mixture. Unfortunately, there are many sensors that assist in controlling timing and fuel mixtures that it is difficult for me to give you a guaranteed solution.

That's usually the temperature sensor. If it's failed, then it will not allow the emissions system to go into "closed loop" mode, where it begins considering the input from the oxygen sensors.

THE FUEL PUMP IS BAD.

if your losing fuel pressure after the pump runs the drain back valve in the pump has failed.

and i doubt that you are seeing enough fuel pressure to run a vortec engine.

low fuel pressure equals a non running vortec

Hello I would think if you replaced all those components, It would lead me to say its the ignition module, Or Pickup coil, they are both located under the distributor Cap. Fairly Easy to change should take about 15 to 30 minutes depending on you mechanical ability. I sure hope that Helps you out. If not get back and we can do somemore trouble shooting, For spark, fuel pressure. Ect.. Thanks Hopefully that will get you going.
