Toyota 2002 rav4

My rav4 makes a clicking noise and a few seconds later it's horn beeps twice and the lights blink and the drivers side unlocks.(just like when I use the keyless entry).
But I'm still driving down the road.
Is there a way to not have the horn blow when you unlock the doors???
Thanks

SOURCE: Horn alarm randomly beeps

Make sure to check all doors, the trunk latch, and the hood to ensure that they are shut. I have looked up your 2006 Chevy Malibu and there has been a lot of people complaining about the alarm system and it going off. There is a TBS (Technical Service Bulletin) out for your car. The TBS says that the Faulty Door Sensor. Take it to your local dealership and tell him what I found for you and they should get you a quote on how much it would cost to repair it.

Thank you for using Fix Ya!
Good Luck!

SOURCE: 2001 toyota rav4. how do you deactivate the alarm

Followed your recommendation of holding the valet (red) button for 6 seconds. It deactivated the alarm system and I was able to start the vehicle. This solution saved me from buying another key from the dealership (139$) and a programming charge of (100$). And not to mention the time saved from towing the vehicle to the dealership. I can't thank you enough for time and money saved with this valuable service. Will be signing up with your service when I get back from Orlando.

Can a the beep sound on a 05 Toyota Camray for the lock/unlock be changed to a horn? So it can be heard better.

Many things like that can be programmed by the dealerships computer.. For instance, when I first got my 2005 Lexus ES330 (your vehicle) and went for my first service. I said its funny that when you press the fob to open the door, only the driver's door opens and then you have to open the passenger door from the inside arm-rest switch. The technician said we can program it to open all the doors if you want? I said, well it seems a better idea to do so. He went on to tell me it was for security reasons, but they could do it. Then he said "You know if you press the unlock button twice, all the doors unlock"?

Me, "what"! Problem solved.

Horns are very annoying, my neighbor has an after market alarm that sounds his horn 3 times when he sets it and twice when he turns it off. He has a problem with the sensor on the sliding door of his van, so he slams the door a few times between each set of three horn blasts.

Maybe your sounder is weak and needs replacing?

1998 Toyota Camry XLE, 10 Amp horn fuse blows when using "unlock" on the remote.

It sounds like you have a ground wire trace the wire from the horn back in check to make sure the insulation around the wire is not rip or torn or touching metal also when you used the horn check the button you push to make sure the short is not there

How do I remove auto door locks

  1. Put the key in the ignition and turn it to on.
  2. Press the Unlock button three times.
  3. Turn the ignition off.
  4. Press the Unlock button three more times.
  5. Turn the ignition back to on.
  6. The horn should beep once. This tells you that you're now in programming mode.
  7. Press the Unlock button, then press Lock again. The horn will beep once to tell you that Auto Lock was deactivated. It will beep twice if you're reactivating the system
There are many ways, I'm not sure which one will work on your car. I answered the two ways. I hope it works.

1. Open the driver's door and put the shifter in Park
2. Turn the ignition to On (II).
3. Press and hold the unlock side of the master lock switch for five seconds until you hear two clicks.
4. Within five seconds, turn the ignition to the Lock position.

Hi, I have a check front tire pressure warning on my 2009 saturn vue hybrid I filled up the tire it's not low at all, how do I get rid of the indicator warning? Thanks Amanda

The TPMS light (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) for that vehicle should function as follows.

If the light is on and steady, it means that the pressure in one or more of the tires is too low, and if the light is flashing, then it indicates that one or more of the tires are over-inflated.

1. Turn the ignition key to the "On" or "Run" position but do not start the vehicle. (If the vehicle has an electronic keyless ignition then place the ignition switch in the "ACCY" position)

2. Press the "Lock" and "Unlock" buttons at the same time on the vehicles remote key fob, and keep holding the two buttons down until you hear the horn beep, and usually this takes around five seconds. The horn beep will indicate that the learn cycle has begun.

3. Re-learn the TPMS system. Deflate or inflate air into the driver-side front tire for approximately 8 to 10 seconds and then listen for the horn to beep one time. (the horn might beep before the 8 to 10 second re-learn, or it could even take as long as 30 seconds after)

4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the remaining three tires. Also, the remaining three tires must be checked in the exact following order, the passenger-side front tire, the passenger-side rear tire and finally the driver-side rear tire. After the final TPMS sensor has re-learned then the horn will beep twice.

5. Listen for the horn to beep twice. When the horn does beep twice, it wikll be the indicator that the TPMS system has re-learned and reset.

6. Turn the ignition switch to the "Off" position, and then be certain that all four tires have the correct tire pressure as recommended on the drivers door, and the next time that the ignition is turned on, the tire pressure light should be reset.

Let me know if you require any further assistance.

2002 Ford Taurus has no power. No head lights no dome light no horn blah blah. Ok first of all my cars alarm kept going off by itself off and on for 2 weeks. I come out to start the car and it goes click...

One possibility is that the battery terminals are either corroded or not tight to the battery posts. Second, the battery itself may have seen its days. Try another battery of simply replace it. If the problem still exists, the have a mechanic inspect the main wiring from the battery to fuse block. Your alarm device may have its own battery source. The tick tick are the cars systems relays trying to engage, but there is not enough power for them to engage.

Remote Start on 2008 Toyota 4Runner will not start truck

Is it a Toyota remote start, or an aftermarket remote start? If it is a Toyota remote start, make sure the hood and doors are all closed. press lock twice, then press lock a 3rd time and hold it for 3 or 4 seconds. It then should beep once, and a few seconds later start up. OR the lights will flass once, twice, or etc. Usually this means there's something wrong and the number of flashes is a diagnostic code of sorts. If this is the case, take it in to your dealer for further assistance. This part should be covered under the 3/36000 warranty.

If it is an aftermarket system, it will probably be a similar situation. It may be a misadjusted hood pinswitch, or even some blatent mistake the installer made installing it.
