My Nissan Cefiro lacks power and the transmission is not working properly. When I accelerate the car is slow to react and it takes time to respond to the acceleration. When it peaks up speed there is a sudden burst of acceleration and you can actually hear the gearbox shifting to the next gear, what could be the problem. I just replaced my transmission 6 mos. ago. Thanks.

Have the engine and transmission control modules scanned for fault codes, this is step number one.

I have a question. I have a 2011 Nissan Rogue AWD. When you give it gas it'll go unless you get into the throttle then it will not accelerate. Sometime you can give it gas and it will only go up to about...

There are several possible reasons why your 2011 Nissan Rogue AWD may not be accelerating properly when you press the throttle. The fuel pump is one possible culprit, but there could also be other issues with the engine, transmission, or other components. Here are a few possible causes and things to check:
  1. Fuel pump: If the fuel pump is not providing enough fuel pressure to the engine, it can cause a lack of power and acceleration. You can have a mechanic test the fuel pressure to see if it's within the manufacturer's recommended range.
  2. Clogged fuel filter: A clogged fuel filter can also restrict fuel flow and cause acceleration issues. This is a relatively inexpensive part to replace and can be done by a mechanic.
  3. Throttle body: The throttle body is responsible for regulating the amount of air that enters the engine. If it's dirty or malfunctioning, it can cause acceleration problems. You can try cleaning the throttle body or have a mechanic inspect it.
  4. Transmission issues: Even if the speedometer and cruise control are working, there could be issues with the transmission that are causing the acceleration problems. The transmission speed sensor code could be related to this, and you may need to have a mechanic perform further diagnostics.
  5. Other engine issues: There could be a variety of other engine-related issues that are causing the acceleration problems, such as a clogged air filter, malfunctioning spark plugs, or a faulty oxygen sensor. A mechanic can perform a diagnostic scan to identify any other potential issues.
Overall, it's best to have a qualified mechanic diagnose the issue to pinpoint the exact cause of the acceleration problems in your 2011 Nissan Rogue AWD.
