Hi, if the fitting is leaking, it may be cross threaded. You may want to take it out and put some leak lock on the threads. If the line it self is leaking, it will need to be replaced. Shastalaker7
We just had the same problem with our 99 2500 Turbo Diesel Ram. The problem ended up being the factory trailer cord recepticle near the hitch. When we unplugged the harness from the back side of the recepticle we found that the brake terminals had gotten hot and burned out. We replaced the recepticle (about $30 from Dodge) and our problem was solved.
You have vacumn lines the run to your transfer case and then to the vacumn motor on the front axle. you need to check the lines and connections. If vacumn is working fine, then motor on front axle is bad.
Straight forward job. Remove wheels, remove 2 caliper bolts per wheel, check bolts, and bushings for wear/corrosion and lubricate, remove calipers, remove brake pads, push caliper pistons into calipers, replace anti-rattle clips, put new pads in, put caliper and bolts in, put wheels on. Start truck and press brake pedal several times to take up slack and you're done.
Hello
Welcome to FY,
If breaks were just replaced, i would check the calipers and hand brake cables for somethingdragging.
I also would check the fuel system to see if you need a fuel filter or a leaking injector for the sluggishproblem.
