2003 pt cruiser engine codes 0116 & 0522 came on... took it in for an oil change and everything was fine, engine light and codes are still there. I will unhook the neg. cable to reset but will the codes come back what should I be looking for?

So you have to have the error code cleared sometimes by a dealership if you have an ORileys or Autozone in your town they will clear the old stored codes free.
Determine what the code descriptions of errors are. Then check and replace as needed. Airbag light indicates problem with airbag system. You must visit the dealer to have analyzed and diagnoses given. Do not attemp to fix yourself. The airbag system, can cause severe injury or death.
Well, you probably broke it. When you see the oil light on, it's trying to tell you something. Something like "get me checked out and repaired or you'll kill me". The lights are not for your entertainment, they're for your education.
You can take it to auto zone or advanced auto parts house and they will check the codes for you for free.then you can look up the code on internet and see whats going on hope this helps
This light tells you that the engine or transmission needs attention. It's not going to blow up if you keep driving it for a little while, if it's still running (red lights, like oil pressure, mean to stop RIGHT NOW).
Just changing the oil is probably not going to make the light go out. The light was turned on by the engine's computer, and indicates that the computer got a bad reading from one (or more) sensors located throughout the engine and transmission. Most auto parts stores can hook up a code reader to your car and read the trouble code stored by your computer. The trouble code indicates what system is not working properly and that may tell you what to replace to fix it. Or it may require more in-depth testing to determine the exact problem.
what you need is a Hollander book that tells you what the difference is in the engines there may be just little diff and it will tell you what you can swap .
and most salvage yard have these books and dont charge to look it up for you.
and dont let someone guess and say yes and then you have to go back and change so importaint part.
