SOURCE: How to put on Serpentine belt for 92 Chrysler Lebaron 3.o liter engine
Before replacing or installing the old belt you need to check all of the pulley's that the belt rides on for play. Pay special attention to the spring loaded tensioner pulley. They can sieze and cause the belt to come off.
I found this picture it is a bit large for the screen.

it sounds like the transmission solenoid or possibly the transmission itself trying to go out
SOURCE: 1990 chrysler lebaron goes into limp mode have to
The symptoms you describe, "limp mode", no check engine light, after a restart you get a temporary cure, and the year of your vehicle, tell me your catalytic converter is becoming clogged.
As your vehicle warms, the exhaust pressure builds and can't properly escape through the catalytic converter. When you turn the vehicle off, the pressure slowly releases, and when restarted it will run ok again until the pressure builds.
I would replace the catalytic converter, and that should resolve your issue.
I hope this information helps you, and I wish you luck on your repair.

Have your transmission oil filter changed;
it is located under the transmission pan
The oil is what makes the transmission shift
When you shut off the engine it stops the transmission pump then when you start up again the transmission shifts until the filter clogs again

1994 Chrysler LeBaron convertible shifts some times and won't shift other times. Had transmission serviced and no help.
Auto or manual? If auto could be in limp mode due to a sensor on the trans..about 50.00
