I JUST PUT A CLUTCH ASSEMBLY IN A 2005 ACURA TSX AND DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY. NOW THE IMMOBILIZER LIGHT IS COMING ON AND CAR CRANKS BUT WON'T START

When you replaced the fuel pump, you disconnected the battery, yes (because they tell you to)?

You now need to reset the security system and engine immobilizer.

check connection/wiring to lock also rod clip can be disconnected or damaged but you need to remove door panel to check it out

cranks ok, and fast
starts sometimes but is rich
lots of reasons for that.
bad engine (lost compression on 1 or more cylinders or all)
bad spark (ever do a tune up?)
bad fueling

we do 3 tests, and find it. do you want to do simple tests
or guess. we can do both, but the latter is $$$$$$$$

you need a scanner having your car's program and to do the alarm reset to reset the alarm.

problems can be from bad -faulty belt==alternator==battery==wire harness ==bad connection

You need to check the code for check engine light first , and go from there.

I would take it apart and try a new battery. Make sure there is no corrosion on the contacts where the battery sits. If that doesn't fix it time for a new remote. Unless you have a bunch of miles on it it may still be under warranty. See your Acura dealer.

You could disconnect the battery for two minutes, reconnect - and see if the engine light is out. If not, go to Checker Auto Parts and they'll run a free diagnostic for you. Then you'll know what the problem (part) is.
