Engine sputter Engine pops a sputters during acceleration, already checked vacuum? I have a similar problem on a 2001 Lincoln LS (3.9L). I have checked the vacuum, the plugs. This car has over head coils so no wires to check. I have replaced the O2 sensors with no luck. Error codes have included, cylinder 1#2 missfire, and, bad O2 sensor.

2001 lincoln ls sputters when i punch the pedal

sputting when taking off could be lean fuel problem caused by clogged fuel filter or clogged fuel injectors.weak spark ignition caused by faulty alternator will set off check engine light, and a faulty tps sensor will cause problems on take off it will set off check engine light if faulty.if all is good low cylinder compression will cause sputting noise due to worn leaking engine valves.

2004 Lincoln LS won't accelerate at 60mph, dies

Why would a dealer not be able to find the issue?
Start by checking codes.
If you have to, drive with a scanner, not a code reader on it,to capture data.
If it only has issues when turning the steering wheel and is speed related with the turning, you have a place to start.
I assume the dealer did all that.
I have a 2004 V8,so let me know, what help you need.

91,000 miles I accelerate and felt the engine sputter. There small sputters, but I'm sure they're going to get worse. It also happens when I cruise around 50+ mps. No lights have come on

Sounds like you may have a small random misfire.. Have your spark plugs checked...One just maybe cracked...And sooner or later, as it gets worse the check engine light will pop on, and you can go from there..Goodluck...

I HAVE A EMISSION LIGHT THAT COME ON AND THE ENGINE SPUTTERS. I HAVE HAD A TUNE UP AND CHANGE WHAT TYPE OF GASS I USE ITS A 2001 LINCOLN LS

The dealership recommended fuel on most vehicles is 89-91 octane but I don't believe that is your issue. I would first check your heated o2 sensor and your MAF.

these cars had problems with the on plug ign coils and if this is a misfire the comp will tell you which cyl is the problem.
