I have a 2004 Jeep grand Cherokee, 6 cyl, 70,000 miles. The OMB light came on while I was driving and stay on for the rest of the day. ( I drove for 2 hours: stop and go. I preach the good news. I make house to house calls.) How can this problem be solved? Thank you for your help.

Is it amber coloured? If it is have Auto Zone, Kragen or any chain parts store run a emission system trouble code test, then post the code back on this thread, let me know.

the best coolant is by far is the MOPAR/JEEP OEM coolant, next to that I would use Prestone brand long life coolant type..

SOURCE: firing order for 1997 jeep cherokee straight 6 cyl.

153624 On cap #1 is two towers clockwise from right side hold-down screw, #1 is front cyl on engine. Firing order is clockwise.

May be in need of a tune up or you may have engine sludge. Check you spark plugs and see if they're fouled. If so, replace.

If the light is ywllow, it's emmissions or some sensor. You can drive to a service center and have the codes read. If the light is red...STOP!! and check engine oil. DO NOT drive further!! Have it towed in for service.
