It is more likely an ignition switch or sticking relay problem - I would first check the switch (at the bottom of the steering column) and the mechanism that connects it to the key module to make sure it is activating correctly. Then, check the relays in the UBEC (underhood fuse box). Your owners manual should show which relay(s) are used by the ignition system.

If you're finding it difficult to service/repair your car, get one of those online manuals.
You'll not have to wait for others to answer, or rely on mechanics and all. Plus i know a website that sells very cheap but very very good manuals online, without expiry i.e. for lifetime.

make sure the wheels are straight.. if you park them with them turned to one side the steering column is under a bind.... if they are turned all the way to the right you will for example have to turn it a little to the left to release pressure as you turn the key...

I don't know if you already fixed it, but I had the same problem on my 03 yukon, TysonRicky is right. In my case it was the blower control module. You can find it right under the glovebox. It cost me close to $100 for a new one, but very easy to replace. Can't even imagine how much it would've cost me if I had a mechanic do it.

Does the truck have a push button selector on the dash? If so, you need to replace the drive motor on the transfur case.
