2002 oldsmobile alero Security lock no fuel gets to engine

I used to have to wait ten minutes with the key on on position but now it wont start at all Security Fuel line lock is stuck on lock Security light stays lit and blinks no fuel getting into the lines how do I shut off the security so I can start my car
I already checked the fuel lines and changed the fuel filter I don't think it is the fuel injector can anyone help?

    with the key in the ignition on the on position leave it for ten minutes and this will reset the security lite and fuel should resume

    i have a 2002 alero the security lockout was the dumbest thing to put on a car i have to wait 10mins before i can start my car the only way i know to fix it is to have it bypassed through the computer but its hard to find someone to do it

    vehicle started then stopped. will turn over but wont start. seems like it is not getting fuel. I can here the pump come on I think when I turn the key on but its not getting fuel to the injectors

Hi, I just read somewhere on the WWW that the crank sensor and or fuse can be a issue. I too have a 2002 Alero.. Worst car I have ever owned!

How to disable the vats security system on my 2001 oldsmobile alero?
you cant disable it, its a pass key system not a vats system (vats reads a resistance value in the key). The ignition cylinder has a sensor in it that measures a rotating resistance (then translates into a voltage reading) that the bcm reads to let the car know to start. Usually you can try and start the car, then the security light will start flashing - leave the key in the on position for ten minutes until the security light goes out. Then turn the key off, wait, then try and restart - they usually relearn the code after the first 10 minute try. Sometimes it takes three 10 minute cycles.

sound like theft security problem.when you try ten minutes did you leave ignition switch on position for ten minutes until the security light turn off then turn off ignition switch for 5 seconds then try starting vechicle.when you do 10 minute trick security light has to turn off or disappear when you see security light go off turn off switch 5 seconds then try starting vechicle.

SOUND LIKE THE THEFT SECURITY PROBLEMS. MOST OF THE TIME.THE IGNITION KEYS OR IGNITION SWITCH KEY LOCK CYLINDER WORN WHERE THE BCM AND PCM DONT RECOGNIZE KEY OR SWITCH SIGNAL.SO THE BCM AND PCM WILL GO IN THEFT SECURITY MODE.THE DEALERSHIP WILL HAVE TO FIX.BECAUSE IF THE KEYS , IGNITION SWITCH AND LOCK CYLINDER AND BCM HAS TO REPLACED.THEY WILL HAVE TO BE REPROGRAM USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT. NOT A HOME FIX.YOU WILL NEED TO GET FIX SOON AS POSSIBLE.BECAUSE FAULTY SECURITY THEFT CODE WILL SHUT DOWN VECHICLE FUEL SYSTEM WHILE DRIVING OR IT WILL GET TO A POINT WHERE CAR WONT START NO MORE.THIS FIX WILL COST ABOUT $600.00.

Cranks has fuel pressure and spark, no start just replaced ign switek for no spark problem 04 olds alero 3.4L
TRY THIS PROCEDURE WITH IGNITION ON WITH KEY IN SWITCH.LEAVE SWITCH ON POSITION WITH ENGINE OFF. FOR TEN MINUTES WATCH THE SECURITY LIGHT IF IT TURNS OFF IN TEN MINUTES.TURN OFF IGNITION SWITCH FOR 5 SECONDS THEN TRY STARTING DO THIS PROCEDURE TWICE.IF CAR DONT CRANK THE DEALERSHIP HAS TO REPROGRAM NEW KEY AND IGNITION SWITCH.

well if you security light is on, then you have to put your key in the on position for exactly 10 mins and wait until the light blinks and then turns of and then you turn the key off and they you can start it. i have a 2002 alero and it works for my car.

If your security lite is blinking on the dash board with the key on then your security fuel line is locked.
quick fix leave the key in the ignition for 10 minutes IN THE ON POSITION <===very important to leave key in for ten minutes on the on position! security lite should stop blinking and fuel will get into the lines you may need to spray some quick start in the intake
remove the air filter hose and spray in the intake and start her up.

Car doesn't start randomly. "security" light comes on and off. Have to leave key in "on" position for 10 min. to reprogram. Is there a fix?

A mechanic told me maybe if I replace the ignition that may be it setting off the security sensors? I don;t know I just wait ten seconds with the key on before I start it and as long as I do that it seems to work every time.
