2001 Acura CL Type S: Where is the fuel pump relay located?

  • Anonymous Mar 28, 2015

It's in the cabin, underneath the dash on the driver's side. Look up past the brake pedal switch because that is going to be in your way wgen you replace it. It's held in by a bracket with a single 1mm screw. The harness connector is brown. You can fix it if you're capable of soldering. Just remove the plastic cover and heat all solder joints on the circuit board..

Make that a single 10mm screw.

I have a 2001 acura cl type-s,..... i had a previous exhaust leak and it was pretty bad..... my car started sputtering and i assume it was cuz of the fuel not mixing properly with the air.... so i got it fixed..... but it still does it..... do u think it made be the O2 sensor?? or the fuel filter that needs to be change????.... other than that, i can only think of the fuel injectors or spark plugs????.... thanks

SOURCE: location of fuel pump relay on e-450 v-10?

The Fuel pump relay is in the Power Distribution Box under the hood, it is relay K. If it is the fuse then fuse 17 in the PDB.
It could also be the cut off switch, which is either under the dash above the brake pedal or behind the passenger kick panel

SOURCE: 1990 Acura Legend, location of main relay for fuel pump

looked it up online, looks like its in the underhood fuse box but couldn't get a good diagram that shows which relay number it is. the website i use is sort of dependent on the manufacturer, apparently acura did not feel like sharing that info. hope that helps

Intermittent popping sound from engine on acura 2001 cl 3.2 type s

Last time serviced? Fuel filter changed? Sounds like a fuel
delivery problem. High or low pressure from fuel pump. So could be fuel pump, or more problems from the fuel pump relay. There may be a fuel pressure regulator that is not working right. Otherwise some problem with timing. Last timing belt change? Check Owner's manual and service records.

How do I check to see if my fuel pump relay is gone bad on a 01 acura cl s series

hi there,
first of all
listen for fuel pump noise when turn the key On if you can hear the noise then the relay and fuse re ok,
if you can't hear pump working then first check FPMP fuse, if it's got voltage and good. Then with key off, remove f pump relay, turn key On and try it installing the relay back so you have to hear the click when you put relay, that's the best way hope this helps!

Hi, it is located under the dash on the driver's side. Look up under there where the brake pedal is attached. It is a black box with two electrical connectors plugged in to the bottom It is attached to the dash with a silver metal bracket.

Acura 2001 cls won't start in hot sun

There is a known issue with a relay, located in the steering column. 2001 acura 3.2 cls you can have it replaced with a better designed relay (Mfg replacement is a little larger relay than OEM) The day to day solution is to cover your steering column with a cool damp towel this will cool off the relay and 'release it out of the mode where it thinks your car is already started' I think the relay cost about 75 bucks. Believe me the cool towel or just cover with a white towel works. My husband has been doing this for over a year because he is too frugal to replace the relay....It works 99.999995 percent of the time. While I'm here this vehicle also had a recall for a known transmission problem, so if you had any repairs to your tranny I'd be looking to my dealer for an explanation if you were charged for repairs. My husband got his replaced free as the second owner after I did the research for him! And that rearview mirror full of highly toxic liquid Acura refuses to replace even after the lowuid leaks all over your interior and ruins your console...
