Could be your motor or switch

  • Anonymous Feb 01, 2011

oh really! I thought it was because I needed more gas or a oil change. Im blonde but not stupid. I figured after changing the fuse that it was probably the motor/or switch(oh i forgot to say i know the wipers have a seperate motor than the car!) But what i was looking for was the easiest and most time saving way to figure out which one is causing the problem, But thanks anyways!

well if you want to be technical try using a metre
turn wipers on and check if you are getting power to wiper motor ,if not switch or relay faulty ,nd if youare getting power maybe check out your motor oil or gas will not solve it just logic

I have a 07 Chevy Equinox. my front washer sprayer wont work. Fuse is good, i ran power to the fuse and the sprayer worked fine. i figured its prob the switch so i replaced it, but it still wont work.

The washer fuse should have power (battery voltage) while the ignition switch is in the RUN position. Verify both sides of the fuse have power. If the rear wash functions them it's not the fuse.

The switch signals the Body Control Module (BCM). The BCM energizes the front washer relay.

Input to BCM from switch is BCM connector C1,24 PK. Output from BCM to relay is connector C4 15 OG.

You need to verify continuity from the the switch to the BCM and from the BCM to the relay.

My rear window wiper blade and the the fluid for the window dont work. the front ones are fine and the fluid also comes out but the back ones dont even move and the fluid doesn't come out. pls help,

The wiper motor and pump motor are not being energized. Since they both do not work it has to be something they both have in common like a fuse.

Check your car manual for a description of what fuse is for what. When you find the fuse that takes care of those motors replace it.

VW Fox. My front windscreen wipers wont work. I cannot see that they are frozen as the washer works ok. I have checked the manual and it say the fuses for wipers is located at no 29, the only problem is...

My wife has a 08 Fox and her front wipers stopped working it's just a fuse in bank 7 a 10 amp just replace with a new one or swap for the 10 amp fuse in bank 11 (just a warning lamp for the handbrake) until you get a new one. ;-)

Buick Rendezvous front and rear winshield wipers not working

I had the same problem on my 2004 Rendezvous with both front and rear wipers not working. Thanks to AutoZone I found free wiring diagrams on their website. Fuses 29 and 32 were good. YouTube videos suggested checking relays. The problem was fixed by interchanging Accessory Relay 27 with the same type of relay, Relay 20, the Rear Defogger relay. I ordered a new relay, plus a spare for $30 from Amazon.

Rear wiper does not work at all. front wipers work fine. rear washer works

1. check the fuse to the rear wiper motor
2. check for power to rear wiper motor at the motor (power wire going in to the wiper motor with rear wiper switch on)
If you have good fuses & have power going in to the rear wiper motor...
3. Pull old rear wiper motor and install a new rear wiper motor.
Thank you please drive thru......
