Your vehicle has 4 o2 sensors. One on each bank and one in front of the converter and one behind the converter. If you have dual converters then there will be one in front of the converter and one in the rear. The ones on the drivers side are the left bank and the ones on the right are the right bank.Hope this helps.Good luck.

I have a 1998 chevy silverado 1500 4x4 would I be able to motor swap it with a 1999 chevy silverado 2500 with a 5.7 without having to swap out the transmission

Should be able to. Just make sure that if you have a std. transmission, that the replacement engine has a throw-out bearing installed. Or vise versa. And check your sensors, you might need to swap from the old to the new motor to make things work.

How many o2 sensors are on a 1999 Silverado 5.3

The 1999 5.3 V8 engine had 4 oxygen sensors. There are two catalytic converters on this engine, one on the driver side of the engine, and one on the passenger side of the engine. This is important to know, as the number of oxygen sensors is directly related to the number of catalytic converters on the vehicle. Driver side is referred to as Bank 1, passenger side is referred to as Bank 2. This is very important to know when looking up replacement oxygen sensors. There is one oxygen sensor in front of, or before the catalytic converter, usually referred to as a pre-catalyst O2 sensor. There is also one behind, or after the catalytic converter, usually referred to as a post-catalyst oxygen sensor. So, you have two oxygen sensors on Bank 1, and two oxygen sensors on Bank 2, for a grand total of 4 oxygen sensors.

There is a sensor with 3 wires on the manifold of my 1999 chevy v6 silverado the wires have been pulled out is this the cps sensor? if so do you know the order of replacement starting from the firewall out...

Hummm. Okay, The sensor that is on the Manifold is called a O2 sensor ( Oxygen Sensor ) If the wires was pulled from the sensor then you need to replace the sensor it's self. There should be a connector that you can unplug. Not to sure why you would need to know the replacement starting from the firewall out or left to right. Need more details on this part?

I am having problems with the oxygen sensor on my 1997 chevy silverado ? I cant seem to find the sensor ?? Does anyone know where it is at and how to change it out ? Also will the oxygen sensor cause the...

your o2 sensor is located on your exaust. You have either two or four, I think their is only two on a 99 chevy if I remember correctly, pre catalyst and post catalyst. This means one before your catalytic converter and one after. The pre is usualy the culprit but they will not stop your truck from cranking over. This sounds more like a battery, battery cable, or starter problem. Hope this helps, Clay
