2004 Pontiac grand prix blower motor.... I had a problem with the blower motor running when the car was off...replaced the control module...now the blower motor isn't working at all. Had this problem before. Took motor apart and greased the brushes. Work good but figured wouldn't last long. I now bought new blower motor and still nothing. Is there anyway water could be leaking down around the cowl and got to the module that i just replaced and it is bad again. I checked the cabin filter and the little rain gaurd was off so I re-installed it. Also...several times down there messing with the wires out of the module to the motor...it would kick on for a second. Have power going to the module on the red and black wire...dont know how the test from the switch..just know there is power going to the module..but not out....please help....thanks

SOURCE: pontiac grand am leaks water into front floorboard when it rains

I had the same problem on my 97 G AM for about a year now, Water getting on the driver side carpet all the way to the back,it just got worst over time, But I found the problem, you have to look behind the wiper motor where the fire wall meets the bodi ,there is a hire line crack rigth behind the wiper motor where the water coming from the wiper cowling drains from ther is some kind of coulking that is painted the same color as the car, you must clean the area with a screwdriver and soap, and use clear silicon with a coulking gun, you must remove the 2 top wiper motor screws do not remove the botom one not need to and remove the 2 wire plugs and pull the motor back and rotaded upwards know youre clear to do the job; good luck it worked for me.

I have a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GT. New relay and blower motor, still no air blowing. What should I do now?

Replace your blower motor control module, aka blower resistor. Try applying 12volts directly to blower motor to make sure it's not defective first.

2006 Grand Prix GT blower motor stops working on start up in cold

Rather then rigging it , fix it right ! The blower motor could be bad . Testing the electrical circuit , checking current draw , voltage drop . etc.... Hooking up a light switch isn,t going to keep it on if parts are failing . More then likely the blower motor control processor is going bad . The blower motor is electronically controlled .

Vent fan is not shutting off

The blower motor speed control module is most likely shorted. This is very common on the gm w-body cars such as your grand prix.

Order and install a new blower motor speed control module and install. It is located in the hvac box, passenger side, near the blower motor.
