SOURCE: 1998 GMC Sierra Signal Fuse Blowing

it seems you have a short in either one of the lights or interlock. all are connected to the same fuse. trace the wiring from the fuse box back to the component. Using a test light test in between the wires. check for any obvious breaks in the wiring.

SOURCE: slow shifting when engine is cold

I have the same problem with my 97.... especially shifting from 3rd to O/D... I've had the tranny serviced and flushed.... It still does it until the tranny warms up.... the tranny's in them are temperature picky!!!!! It's the nature of the beast!!! Wait until spring and everything will be good until next winter!!! If you're really concerned with it you can put a "cold front" on it or block half (NO MORE THAN HALF) of the tranny cooler with cardboard thru the winter months

In my 95 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4 just had the transmission rebuilt 3 weeks ago I was driving down the road and it shifted 1st to 2nd fine but from 2nd to 3rd it reved up all the way to 4500 rpms before...

That could be a perfect reason to take it back to the shop where it was just repaired for repeat service. Either that or you spun out in the mud.

My 1998 GMC Sierra will not shift into 4 Hi. The 4 Hi indicator light blinks all the time (even when I am in 2 Hi). I have no problems getting it into 4 Lo.

your transmission has to electrical plugs that are the same one of the plugs are damaged, unplugged, or if someone changed trans plugs could be backwards

Transmission dosnt shift when truck warms up

FYI
I have a 1995 GMC 1500 with 5.7 truck that the ABS Light comes on and then the tranny starts jumping gears and speedo goes crazy- Changed ignition switch and that did not help.
You said that you had changed the speed sensor on the tranny and that did not help ?? If so that was my next step. Let me know if you find and answer and I will do likewise.

1988 GMC Sierra shifts strange when cold normal when warm

You always add transmission fluid while the car is at running temps because transmission fluid expands when it's hot.

1998 GMC Turns over but won't start

P1870 is a transmission code. This code indicates a slippage in the trans between 1st and 2nd gear shift. This code would likely have nothing to do with your hard/no start issue.
