Purchased a 1995 Honda radio/cassette at a tag sale to use in our hunting camp as a replacement for the honda 1989 radio we have been using which just stopped working. is there anyway to retreive the code to unlock. We have the serial number on the radio but don't know where to find the security code

This was a 2002 radio manufactured in China. I don't find a replacement for sale on ebay. It appears manufactured by Zhejiang Sorbo Technology Company. There are models of Dynamo rechargeable radios yet sold. For example: https://www.amazon.com/topAlert-Emergency-Weather-Flashlight-Reading

i would recommend purchase an aftermarket cd player. you can also purchase a cd player is dash kit. that will come with the wire harness connector and the brackets to hold it in place.
check for the cod ein the glovebox or also check for it printed on your sales invoice from your dealer. If the vehicle was purchased from a honda dealer then the code is usually on your invioce. If you cannot find the code then Honda will have to get it from your srl number off of the radio
Gotta have the serial number off the sticker on the top of the radio then call your local honda dealer, give them that serial number and they can give you your radio code.
If you still have the factory radio, there is a way to split the power wire for the factory radio to the aftermarket radio. All you will need are the power and ground for your aftermarket radio, so the rest of the wires should be untouched on the plug for the factory radio. You can simply re-install the radio within the dash and retain the keyless entry as well as restoring your dome light function. Here's a PDF of some instructions. If you did not keep the radio, I would suggest looking online or ins ome junk yards, because it is needed. www.installdr.com/InstallDocs/Honda/PDF/466013.pdf
My owners manual had a plastic card iwith a code nside it when I purchased the vehicle. Apparently if your battery dies your radio will lock - like an anti-theft device. You need the code on the card you were given. I've been told that even Honda cannot replace the code for your radio - they're unique to every vehicle!
