You have a timing chain that is good for the life of the engine. The only thing that could need replacing is the chain tensioner if it starts to make noise.
No you do not need to replace pull the engine. Replacing this chain takes many special tools, I would suggest if you can afford it to avoid trying to do this at home, it is a very difficult job even for a professioanl. You will need a factory service manual to get all set up right.
95 3.8l does not have a timing belt, its a chain and sprokets.

if the is no spark its probably an ign moduel called a tfi module.
if your talking about the engine drive belt belt tensioner, there is a special low profile tool for that.
My local parts store chain (autozone) will lend me the tool at no charge.
i would have to say the oil pan gasket. that is the one that I have replaced more often. it is ever usual for the rear main seal to go out but not impossible. but i would have to say oil pan gasket.
