I have been experiencing a problem with my 1999 Ford Explorer only when it is hot outside.
Anytime it is above about 75 degrees outside, I can only drive the vehicle for around 30 minutes before it start chugging along and jerking. This has never happened when its cool out. I've driven over 100 miles at a time when its cool with no problem.
Generally, we have to run short errands and then let the vehicle cool for a few hours before going out again. My temp gage doesn't show the car is overheating at all. It looks normal.
