2005 Kia Sedona. Battery Died, now when trying to jumpstart the alarm starts going off when cables are connected and jumper car is turned on. Could this be a security feature of the factory installed alarm system. is there a simple alarm reset that I can try before I spend hundreds to get it towed to dealership and fixed?

That is exactly what it is. You need to find out how to reset the program. Check your owner manual. It could have it in there. If not, you should be able to call your Kia dealership and they can give it to you. You will need all your info from the vehicle.

To stop the alarm, you can open the door with your key or press the unlock button on the remote. Details are in the manual under "alarm system."

My car key remote broke for my 2005 Kia sedona I believe it is a factory alarm. I don't want the horn to go off, what do I do to disable the alarm system once I open the door

On most vehicles, you insert the ignition key into the ignition switch and turn the key to the run position. Then start the car.

I have a 2001 mercury cougar, the headlights were left on last night and the battery died. So when jumper cables were connected to the battery the alarm started to go off. The fuse was removed and put back...

You can probably pull the horn relay to kill the horn while you are working on the problem.
With the battery connected to a jumper, try locking and unlocking the driver's door with the key. If that works, make sure the battery gets charged before you unhook the jumper cables to keep the computer memory alive.

It sounds like your alternator is bad. Here is how to find out:

Start your car (jump it if necessary)

Let it run - while it is still running - disconnect the battery cables from the battery.

If your car suddenly dies, most likely its the alternator.

If your car does not die after disconnecting the battery cables - then its probably a bad battery and your alternator is working fine.

Battery died alarm keeps going off when i try to enter car or start it how do i diconnect the alarm

Hi,
You will have to have a charged battery firstly. If you have a key over-ride on the alarm siran housing turn it OFF. If you have jumper cables connect them to your vehicle (observing polarity) Negative jumper cable should be connected lastly ! When connected , operated the alarm blip as normal and you should be able to silence the alarm and start vehicle as normal. If the battery is in a weak condition it will drop a lot of voltage(while cranking) and reset the default setting on the alarm (ie ON) So good connections and good battery voltage. If it does go off , it'll be only for a few moments and it's your vehicle anyway so ! Good Luck

Im trying to jumpstart my husbands car i have 2005 dodge magnum but i cnt seem to find the -thing where i put the cable wires

The Magnum's battery is located next to the spare tire in the trunk area, but there is a jumpstart post under the hood also. On the passenger side of the engine compartment in the front, you'll find a red cap with a plus sign on it right next to the fusebox. Lift this cap and you'll find the positive connection for the jumper cable. Behind the fusebox there is a good negative connection point, but usually any uncoated solid metal, like a bolt head, can be used for the negative connection.

My 06 sedona wont start just a clicking noise, radio and lights work. Just got a new battery for it and nothing changed. Is there a fuse/relay problem or probably the starter?

Try jumpstarting it. My 06 has done that a few times and jumpstarting has worked every time. Usually, one of the kids left a dome light on or something.
