A few weeks ago my truck suddenly began having a first-time a/c problem. When the engine is cold a/c works well. When the truck is physically moving a/c works well. When the truck is stopped, even with high rpms (1,500 or so), a/c blows hot. When engine shuts down, a hissing sound comes from engine for approx 10 seconds. Is it possible my heat is coming on at the same time as my a/c? Any other ideas? I'd like to fix this myself, for the obvious financial reasons. Also, the product options did not allow me to input the right year - this is a 2003, not a 2001. Thank you.
Check the clutch on the AC pump. Mine has the same problem. This can be done by disconnecting the pressure switch on the high pressure line and jumping it with a wire. If the clutch spins slower than the pulley it's worn out.
Please use this link I hope it help to trouble shoot the problem :

Good luck...
Had that problem not too long ago, and it was the condensor fan motor ,under the hood. Cost of motor at supply house was about $100.00. and had to be ordered. Change out was a little tricky, but can be done with out loosing all the freon.
