1st locate your sensor, most of the time, they are up on the engine itself, you will need a oil sending socket and ratchet to do the job, once you locate your sensor, disconnect the wiring connector to it, then remove the sensor, and before you install the new one, take some white teflon tape, that you can buy at a auto part store, and wrap some tape around the threads of the new sensor, [ normally 2-3 rounds is enough tape. ] install the new sensor straight in to the opening, make sure you don't cross thread it, after you get the sensor started, then tighten it up as much as you can with your hand, then finish tightning with ratchet and socket, [ do not over tighten ] then hook wire connection back up, and you are ready to go, start vehichle up and check for any leaks, of the sensor, they shouldn't be any, if you followed these instructions, hope that this has been helpful to you.

2001 chrysler town & country oil light is on

If you are taking the car to the garage or a mechanic, mark the oil filter before leaving home to make sure the filter is changed. After the oil has been changed when you return home you can check the filter to see if it was changed because the oil will only be changed. Since some mechanics know an owner of a vehicle will not check. Also, AutoZone have a very good quality oil for the chrysler town and country. Good Luck

We where driving the van when the chime came on and the oil light came on .checked oil and there is oil in van

Check the oil pressure sensor, its located directly above the oil filter. The sensor usually has a bright green connector. Oil pressure sensor failure is pretty common with Chrysler products. Thay are very easy to change with a deep 27MM socket. Look to see if the sensor is leaking oil as this is usually a tell-tale sign that the sensor has failed

2005 Chrysler Town & Country Service tire system soon light coming on after new tires have been put on, pressure checked & tires balanced?

Maybe when you change the tires they remove or broke one or the four sensors located inside the rim or wheel, at the inside of the valve, this sensors transmit the low pressure to the computer, and if one, or all, are removed or damaged, computer will register it at as a low pressure tire

2000 town & country - oil light flashed on and off when i was in reverse but went out when i went forward.

First off check the oil,if it's fairly low on oil then when the oil splashes away from the pickup tube the oil pressure would drop enough to kick on the oil light,if it's full and running ok then the oil sending unit is probably gonna need replaced.

19968 chrysler town and country- oil light stays on, oil level is fine.

This could be caused by a faulty oil sending unit, wich is located on the intake manifold or near it

2000 Town and Country stalling & Check oil light coming on

Check the oil level. The low oil sensor will disable the ignition if more than a quart low. If you have not checked your oil in the last 1600 miles, its past time to do so. Check oil often.
