Fuel filter location Sierra

its probably an in tank filter. look for accsess to fuel pump through a plate in the boot or under the back seat some cars theres need to drop the fuel tank to accsess the pump/filter assy

It is located midway along the frame of your truck.

Remove the fuel filter from the bracket on the frame rail. Replace the fuel pipe O-rings if you find any cuts, nicks or distortion in them. Slide the new filter into the bracket. Remove the caps you put on the fuel pipes and connect the threaded fittings back to the filter. Tighten it to 18 ft-lbs.

Under the truck, on drivers side, between fuel tank and engine compartment, sort of under where the drives sit, against the frame.

The fuel filter on this vehicle is located inside the fuel tank and is a part of the fuel pump module. As such, it can only be serviced by replacing the pump module assembly. In theory, these are a lifetime filter and I've only seen a couple of them plug so far and those were due to dirty fuel that came out of a private service tank. The only real test to see if the filter is restricted is to have someone road test the vehicle with a fuel pressure test gauge hooked up to the fuel rail so the actual pressure can be observed while the vehicle is under load. Fuel filter is located on the inside frame rail under the drivers door. To disconnect the fuel filter, you need a quick fuel line release wrench.

the fuel filters are in tank and not serviceable on most newer gmc trucks until the fuel pump dies

Trace your fuel lines from the gas tank along the inside
of your frame rail.It should be located about 2 or 3 feet
from the tank.

Part of the fuel pump none servicable. you would have to replace the pump. But you don't need to replace it those are a returnless fuel system.
