There is a clutch safety switch on pedal.I'm not saying to by-pass,but you can take a jumper wire and connect from one side of switch to other and see if it cranks.it is a pin switch that will be depressed by a tab on side of clutch pedal,up under dash. Just be aware if bypassed it will start in gear and is only a way to check.put parking brake on and make sure transmission is in neutral.Be safe about it.

Not the clutch assembly, but the start safety switch on the clutch pedal. The contacts could be corroded or just need be pushed onto the clip better to lock it on. I'd just unplug the thing from the connection and clop the two wires together to be sure that the problem is no longer a problem. Nonetheless, there is where your problem arises, from the start safety switch on the clutch pedal.

Car stalls out when you push in the clutch

When you push in the clutch you are pushing the crank shaft forward in the main bearings but the action of the throw out bearing for the clutch pushing the fingers of the clutch pressure forward. For the engine to stall under this condition I would be checking the throw out bearing for seizure and acting as a brake on the pressure plate. Some clutch systems are part of the engine start system where you have to depress the clutch to start the engine (safety device) This may be faulty and shutting the engine down.

'05 Frontier w/ 6-speed manual transmission. Push the clutch straight in and truck will not start. Push the clutch in and hard to the left the truck will start just fine. No problems with starter,...

It's called the clutch switch and it's supposed to only allow current to the starter when the clutch pedal is depressed all the way down, releasing the clutch. It's bolted in front of the clutch pedal. Yours must be bad or shifted to the left somehow. Have it checked, then repositioned or replaced.

My 2004 elantra gt (5 speed) will not start. When i push in the clutch, it acts as if the clutch was not pushed in at all. after a few minutes of manipulating the clutch in and out, it will finally start....

It's probably a loose wire or adjusting nut on the clutch switch. Check and adjust it. Look under the dash on top of the clutch pedal arm there's a simple push button switch like the brake light switch. Even if you need a new switch it's only $10.
