There are a few sensors and components which feed into a computer.Even though your brakes seem fine, there is something wrong.ABS takes sensor inputs from the wheel speed, sends them to a computer, compares them to how hard you want to brake, and applies/releases the brakes as fast as possible to prevent skidding. You normally cannot feel it.So even though you can stop, something is giving a bad signal somewhere. The computer is usually not the problem though. The sensors and brakes are under the more extreme usage conditions.Greg

Also, trying to do it yourself would be very tedious, time consuming and dangerous. It is well worth it to have it computer diagnosed at a shop.Easily worth the money. Not even worth second-guessing yourself no matter what the results.Greg

Good day. Could you please advise me why my GWM steed 5 ABS break light stays on on the dashboard. I did take of the wheels and cleane all the dirt surrounding that area but it did not help. Thank you

Sharon,I suggest you check the Brake Fluid Level: The ABS light may come on if the brake fluid is low. Verify that the brake fluid reservoir is filled to the proper level. If it's low, top it off to perhaps fix the problem.

1.Why is my break light indicator on dashboard on even when break is not engaged.Note,my break is active and fluid level is ok. 2. Why is my ABS light on and refused go off from dashboard.

Not sure about the Honda setup, but when my Dakota had those lights both lit, it was a bad speed sensor in the system. I had the additional symptom of no speedometer reading until about 30mph.
It seems that the VSS in my system was used at lower speeds by the ABS system to determine when to activate. If the ABS light goes on, many vehicles will also activate the brake light since the two are undoubtedly related.

Because you have a problem in the ABS system . With the light being on there is a DTC -diagnostic trouble code stored in the ABS control module . EBCM - electronic brake control module . The red brake light also will come on with ABS problem . If you are unfamiliar with this I suggest you take your vehicle to a ASE certified repair facility that is .

In my 1991 honda accord break light is on in dashboard when the car is runung

Check your break fluid level. When the fluid gets below the sensor, the dash board break light will come on and stay on.

Abs ligth an breake turn on, the break fluid is Ok level up, the car is VOLVO S40 2002 1.9 Turbo, the car breake ok. what i do?

Very common problem on Volvo , ABS module is bad.
This is not effecting the brake system , meaning you'll still have normal brake operation , but on slippery road Anti Lock System won't work.
That system prevent wheels to be locked up by driver and prevent car going into spin.

Chevrolet blazer 2000 abs and break light keep poing on and have a code p0452 fuel presure sensor

Hello , the abs code is prob just a maintainence light, prob is fine but GM likes to get you into the shop to have it periodicly checked out. If the abs brakes work and pulsate properly then its fine. The brake light may be a low fluid level in the master cyl reservoir . Clean the cap well and add fluid , the proper type and rating in needed. Fuel pressure sensoe may be due to a weaking fuel pump , weaking pressure regulator or dirty fuel filter. Thank you , Quinn

SEAT TOLEDO WARNING LIGHTS

Could be the motor-management-warning light, but I guess it's the break-warning light. There might be too little breaking-fluid left in the lines ... A boardcomputer-readout should clarify this.

Otherwise, try parking on an ascending road with the nose pointing up, hit the hand-break and wait like 2 minutes; the light should come on. You might wanna retry it with the car's nose pointing downwards as well ... If so, definitely the breaking-fluid, otherwise probably not ;)

In any case - flashing warning light are never ok, so when you see it again and you're sure it's not just the ABS/ESP warning light, go and have your boardcomputer read-out, since it should contain useful errorcodes ..
