2007 Chrysler Town & Country LX New Cars Logo
Posted on Feb 22, 2011

I have a 2007 Town & Country that leaks power steering fluid from what seems like the bottom of the car. It sounds like fluid is coming from a hose but I'm not sure which hose. Can it be the pressure hose? Help!

Depending on the options of the vehicle you have a pressure and return line that goes from pump to steering rack. some have a fluid cooler. but most likely it is the pressure line that is leaking. they use rubber and metal lines together. bad hose clamp, rusted line, or hole in rubber line.

My power steering fluid leaks out the boots after I parked the car for a hour on my town and country 2003. Why is that?

the seals on your steering rack are leaking and the fluid is coming out of your bellows boots. You neet to change your rack and pinion

Power steering went out has fluid cant turn steering wheel

Hi, it sounds like your power steering pump or rack has died. Is the belt ok & tight on the pump? If no fluid lost, no loose belt etc, will most likely be pump, hope this helps :)

2006 Town and Country: Loud Whinning noise when cold and a slow Power steering fluid leak.

the noise may be because your power steering fluid level is low when cold, as the fluid warms up it expands enough to stop the whine, you should have the leak checked by your favorite mechanic shop

2004 town & country steering shaft seal

Check the power steering fluid level. What you describe could be the noise made when fluid level is low. It's not good for the pump, so if that's the problem, fill to proper level, check for leaks, as it shouldn't be losing fluid. countrycurt0
