There is no external feul pump, it is in the feul tank. Also there is no external feul filter, it is in the tank at the bottom of the feul pump assembly.I owned one of these trucks and was not pleased by the location of the feul filter either. If you can find a CARTER supplier they make a cheaper replacment that is same quality as oem.Good luck!
Ethanol feul tends to gum up when it sits for a long time, but you may be able to save the pump.I have done this and had it work.Pour two bottles of SEA FOAM feul treatment and 5 gallons of fresh feul into tank and let it be for 24 hours. This will most of the time desolve the varnish and allow the feul to flow.Good luck!

fuel in tank was not treated and I think it sat for about a year before being run. It ran and even had fuel added. I'm wondering if it is the filter clogged? have had all plugs changed and wires replaced. It ran well but then set up for 3 months now won't start unless fuel through threottle body but will not prime from tank. How do you verify before removing tank?
