I beleive it is a transmission sensor code. I maybe incorrect, but I believe changing the transmission filter & fliud can eleminate this code. not positive though..

Code p0713 transmission fluid temp. sensor. toyota dealer replaced, engine light and code still registers.

Take it back to dealer they should have fixed it properly, it can be a wiring short to positive or the control unit, you shouldn't have to pay for first repair if they didn't fix it

My 2004 kia rio is reading a trouble code-p0713, which describes the transmission fluid temp. Sensor high input. It is a dealership code but the dealership told me that I would have to replace the trans. I...

I would get a second opinion.
Code 713 means the temp sensor is not sending a signal to the computer to tell it what the trans fluid temp is.
The sensor should be on top of the transmission under the air cleaner.
Most any shop should be able to replace it in less than an hour.
They should test it first to make sure the problem is not in the wiring harness.
About the only way the transmission would be junk is if it had overheated which I doubt has happened.
Again, get a second opinion.

The code p0713 and p0731 come up i dont know what to do

you will need to have your transmission looked at. P0713 is a transmission fluid temp circuit high input, which means the fluid in the transmision was hot beyond limits and the other code P0731 was the first gear ratio incorrect. This could be as simple as a fluid and filter change or could be the indicator of more issues. Good luck and let me know if you need anything else.
